&lt;p&gt;That is where this roadmap is aiming.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I continue to think Visual Studio’s best AI story is not about code generation in isolation.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;debugging&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;profiling&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;testing&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;diagnosing larger codebases&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That is what makes the announcement around agents that “debug, profile, and test” especially interesting.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Because if Visual Studio can connect runtime signals and agent assistance in a workflow that actually helps teams resolve real problems faster, that is far more valuable than one more autocomplete demo.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I also like that Visual Studio keeps leaning into modernization in a way that is more incremental than theatrical.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If teams can use AI-assisted workflows to:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;move older apps forward&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;bring Aspire into existing systems&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;migrate older web stacks more safely&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;then the value becomes much easier to explain internally.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That is much more compelling than vague “AI transforms everything” language.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;What I like most here is that the direction stays grounded in day-to-day developer pain instead of abstract AI ambition.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That makes the roadmap much more credible.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The best parts of this announcement are the ones that reduce friction around real work: fixing bugs, handling conflicts, modernizing existing apps, and tightening the loop between analysis and action.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That is exactly where Visual Studio should be investing.&lt;/p&gt;
